TBL Ep. 10 - Angelica Camargo

Angelica  — mom, counselor, bright character.

 

 

Angelica Camargo, LCSW is a behavioral health clinician at the Adolescent and Family Counseling Center of Danbury, CT. She studied social work at Fordham University, where she received Phi Alpha Honors with her Master’s degree in Social Service.

 

Throughout her graduate education, Angelica applied her knowledge, skills and training to the Community Health Center. She has worked for over 12 years in many social service roles such as case manager, community liaison between mental health organizations, patient navigator, MSW intern and behavioral health clinician. Prior to those roles, Angelica worked with Greystone Program, a contracted organization through the Administration of Children Services (ACS) in New York, which assisted in providing skill building services for children who were leaving the foster care system and being adopted.

 

 

Angelica’s primary focus throughout her education and professional experience has been to continue working with individuals and families in underserved communities who have been impacted by traumatic experiences such as neglect, abuse, incarceration, and addiction. In addition she works with faith-based organizations to provide referrals for children, adults and families in need of behavioral health services.

 

 

Angelica lives in Danbury, CT with her husband Alex and son Andy.
